How practicing leads to
success

At Goldberg Violin, success goes beyond musical skill. It’s about building the mindset and habits that inspire lifelong growth, both on and off the instrument.

As a teacher and mentor, I guide students through how to practice with purpose  a mental strategy that is directly applicable to studying, problem-solving, and personal challenges. Through this intentional approach, students develop the focus, discipline, and confidence to thrive in any path they choose,
because learning to master the violin is also learning to master the "art of success."

"Do the best that you can do."

I champion the idea that violin lessons can provide a sanctuary for kids as they grow — a safe space in which external stressors can actually fuel self-expression. To foster this emotional connection to the violin, I motivate students by rewarding effort rather than outcome, and I only hold them accountable to one standard:

Whether the violin inspires kids to become role models in their orchestras, or whether their passion grows “to play a more instrumental role” in the trajectory of their lives (no pun intended), I am equally gratified by the unique ways in which violin lessons for all levels of students have deeply impacted their developmental journeys.

The value of musical education cannot be quantified

because there is no concrete measurement of personal fulfillment,

but the best violin teachers recognize that achievement and expression

stand as cornerstones of self- acceptance!
